Electronic Dog Collars

Electronic dog collars w/remotes can be a very effective method to control a dog’s behavior and as a tool for training your dog. A signal is sent from the remote to the receiver in the collar when the owner observes unwanted behavior. The collar gives out a warning tone designed to control the dog. If the tone doesn’t work, it can be combined with an electric stimulation to the dog to prevent him from continuing the unwanted actions.

Dog Collar Options

Dog Template Electric/electronic dog collars are available with different ranges, from around 100 yards up to well over a mile. The prices of these collars start from around $60 and may go over $300 depending upon the features available. Different options include a waterproof cases, variable correction levels, and multiple frequencies.

Shock Collars

Dog Template Collars that use shock, either as a training method, a bark prevention tool, or as part of an electric (invisible) fence generally should be avoided since they can create a fearful, uncertain, timid dog in many cases. However, sometimes this type of collar is an effective last resort. Better to take advantage of all the possible options before sending a dog to the pound.

Newer collar technology provides options such as spray collars and vibrating collars, meaning you have plenty of choices when choosing a humane dog training collar.
